Avengers: Doomsday's opening sequence is reportedly "going to eclipse everything else Marvel's ever done" and will make people "lose their f****** minds."

That's according to industry insider John Campea, who's whipped fans into a frenzy over what he's heard about the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie's beginning.

Speaking on the latest edition of his self-titled YouTube show, Campea claimed that someone close to the film's production had teased that it not only opens with a major set-piece, but will also be the most action-filled Marvel movie of all time.

"What this person indicated to me was the sheer volume of action is going to eclipse everything else Marvel's ever done alone," Campea teased. "You never know how it's actually going to play out on screen, but what they indicated to me was the sheer amount and volume of action in this thing, when you're talking in terms of minutes on screen and scope, is going to blow away everything Marvel's ever done."

Name-dropping X-2: X-Men United and Batman v Superman, which Campea cited as two comic book films with his favorite opening numbers, he added: "I think the opening sequence of Doomsday is going to eclipse those. It all depends on how it executes. People are going to lose their f****** minds. This movie starts with its foot through the floor and shoots you like a cannon out of the gate."

Is Avengers: Doomsday's opening sequence tied to the footage in one of its teasers?

It's unclear if Campea's source told him what happens in the Marvel Phase 6 flick's opening salvo, or if they just teased its supposedly epic scale.

Regardless, in the past 24 hours, major details about said sequence appear to have already leaked online. Unsurprisingly, the information that's seemingly come to light has spread like wildfire across social media. and fueled further excitement among Marvel fans.

I won't be linking out to or discussing those leaks due to the potentially massive spoilers they contain. However, one of Avengers 5's recently released teasers might provide a clue about what its opening sequence could depict.

Indeed, of the four trailers unveiled by Marvel so far, Avengers: Doomsday's X-Men teaser is the only one that includes any action-heavy footage. Admittedly, it's a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment of James Marsden's Cyclops unleashing a trademark optic blast towards the end of a major battle.

Nonetheless, if this bite-sized clip is taken from the next Avengers film's curtain raiser, it suggests that one of this year's most exciting new movies is going all-out to top its comic book movie siblings in the action-spectacle stakes.
